The action in this martial arts film takes place in the mid-19th century, where Leung Chang is studying the art of kung fu without putting much heart into it. He is so inept at the sport that his wealthy father must pay competitors to lose to him in fight matches. Once Chang learns the truth after losing a fight following more than 300 wins, he makes a life-changing decision to consult a martial arts expert to really help him become a kung fu master.
