Watch The Royal Game

Dr. B was imprisoned by the National Society, which left him with nothing to do put play chess. He suffered a break down constantly thinking of every move in the game, playing against himself. After being set free from a mental institution during World War II, Dr. B goes on a cruise to gain some relaxation. This cruise is also hosting the chess championships. When Dr. B challenges Mirko, a chess prodigy, he wins every game. Mirko demands a rematch, causing Dr. B to lose his psychological stability. Dr. B must maintain his sanity or risk losing his freedom.
