The Undertaker and His Pals is a bizarre and gruesome horror-comedy film from 1966, directed by T.L.P. Swicegood. The plot revolves around a strange trio of undertakers who live and work together in a town called Santa Carla. Harry Glass (Warrene Ott) is the leader of the group, a sinister and sadistic man who enjoys experimenting with corpses. His two partners are Spike (James Westmoreland), a handsome ladies' man, and Doc (Marty Friedman), a hunchbacked dwarf who serves as the group's cook.

The movie opens with a scene that establishes the undertakers as a group of twisted misfits. Harry is seen performing bizarre experiments on a corpse with the help of Spike and Doc, while a cheesy lounge singer performs a song about death and murder in the background. This sets the tone for the rest of the film, which is a campy and over-the-top mix of horror and humor.

The plot kicks into gear when the trio decides to kill their landlady, Mrs. Blackwood, so they can inherit her fortune. They lure her into their funeral home, where they proceed to dismember her and turn her into meat pies. These pies become a hit with the locals, and soon the undertakers are making a killing (literally) by killing and selling the bodies of their customers.

Things take a weird turn when the undertakers cross paths with a biker gang called The Savages. The gang's leader, a mysterious and charismatic man named Chainsaw (played by Robert Lowery), takes an interest in the undertakers' operation and decides to team up with them. Together, they embark on a rampage of murder and mayhem, killing anyone who stands in their way.

The rest of the movie plays out like a twisted parody of the Bonnie and Clyde story, as the undertakers and The Savages rob, kill, and steal their way across Santa Carla. Along the way, they encounter a cast of oddball characters, including a midget wrestler, a striptease artist, and a group of nuns who are not at all what they seem.

Despite its low budget and amateurish production values, The Undertaker and His Pals manages to be a surprisingly entertaining movie. The performances are all over-the-top and hammy, but that's part of the movie's charm. Warrene Ott is delightfully evil as Harry Glass, and James Westmoreland brings a goofy charm to the role of Spike. Marty Friedman steals the show as Doc, delivering his lines with a mix of deadpan humor and physical comedy.

The movie is not without its flaws, however. The pacing is uneven, and the plot is often nonsensical. There are also moments when the movie veers into uncomfortable territory, such as when the undertakers take out their frustrations on a female customer. And while the horror elements are effective, the comedy falls flat at times.

Despite these issues, The Undertaker and His Pals is a fun, trashy movie that will appeal to fans of cult horror films. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy campy B-movies and don't mind a bit of gore, it's worth checking out. Just don't watch it on a full stomach.

The Undertaker And His Pals is a 1966 comedy with a runtime of 1 hour and 3 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.5.
