Tiger Orange is a heartfelt and poignant drama film that explores the complex relationship between two estranged gay brothers, Chet and Todd, who have been living their separate lives in California's lush Central Valley. Chet, played by Mark Strano, is a successful and openly gay painter who has made a name for himself in the art scene of San Francisco. Meanwhile, his younger brother Todd, played by Frankie Valenti, is a closeted homosexual who still lives in their hometown of Bakersfield and works in a hardware store.

One day, Todd shows up uninvited at Chet's fancy apartment in San Francisco, looking for a place to crash. Despite their rocky past, the tension between the brothers eventually subsides, and they begin to reconnect as they embark on a road trip back to Bakersfield to visit their ailing father.

However, as they spend more time together, old wounds are reopened, and they begin to confront the painful secrets and unresolved issues that have been plaguing their relationship for years. Chet resents Todd for never coming out to their parents, while Todd harbors resentment towards Chet for abandoning him after coming out of the closet.

Along the way, the brothers navigate their differences and learn to better understand each other's struggles as they confront their own fears and insecurities. They also reconnect with faces from their past, including a former high school crush of Todd's played by Gregory Marcel, and come to the realization that time may be running out for them to reconcile with their father.

Tiger Orange is a raw and emotional exploration of family, identity, and the complexity of sibling relationships. Strano and Valenti give standout performances as the brothers, portraying their characters' nuanced emotions and inner turmoil with grace and authenticity.

The film's cinematography captures the natural beauty of California's Central Valley, as well as the stark contrast between the urban landscape of San Francisco and the rural charm of Bakersfield.

With its themes of acceptance, forgiveness, and the power of familial bonds, Tiger Orange is a deeply moving and relatable film that speaks to the human experience of love and loss.

Tiger Orange is a 2014 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 16 minutes. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.5.
