In Triassic Attack, a small town in southern Nevada becomes the center of attention for three prehistoric creatures, resurrected from ancient fossils. Upon their unexpected appearance in the town, a group of locals, including Sheriff Jake Roundtree (played by Steven Brand) and his daughter Emma (played by Kirsty Mitchell), are forced to fight for their survival against the flesh-hungry monsters.

The film opens with a dramatic scene that sets the tone for the rest of the movie. A group of construction workers accidentally uncover the fossils of three never-before-seen dinosaur species while working on a dam project. Shortly after, the creatures come to life and embark on a rampage across the countryside. The storyline then shifts to the small town, which is introduced through the daily life of the characters living there. It is a peaceful community, with people going about their everyday business, until the sudden appearance of the rampaging beasts.

As the dinosaurs approach the town, Jake, his daughter Emma, and a few other locals, including a hot-headed deputy named The Chief (played by Raoul Max Trujillo), come up with a plan to take down the prehistoric marauders. The plan involves creating distractions and setting traps, with the aim of isolating each dinosaur and picking them off one by one. Unfortunately, this proves to be far easier said than done, as the creatures are faster, stronger, and more resilient than anybody could have anticipated.

Throughout the movie, there are several subplots that give insight into the lives of the people living in the town. Jake, for example, has a complicated relationship with his daughter, and their relationship is further strained by the constant danger and chaos they find themselves in. Emma, meanwhile, is struggling to find a place in the world and contemplating moving away from the town that she has always called home. Other characters, including a local gas station owner and a group of college kids passing through the town, add to the mix of personalities and motivations that make up the group fighting to survive.

One of the standout features of the movie is its special effects. The creatures themselves are visually impressive and bring a level of terror to the screen that is difficult to ignore. The animatronic dinosaurs were created by the team behind the popular TV show, 'Dinosaurs', adding a touch of authenticity to the scenes they appear in. The use of practical effects and miniatures also give the movie a sense of realism that is often absent in modern creature features.

The film's soundtrack is also noteworthy, featuring an original score by the rock band Moke. The music adds to the tension and excitement of the film and helps to create a sense of urgency during the action scenes. The sound design, in general, is excellent, with the roars and growls of the dinosaurs creating a palpable sense of fear.

Overall, Triassic Attack is an entertaining creature feature that delivers in terms of action, scares, and special effects. While the plot may be predictable at times, the movie's heart lies in its well-crafted characters and the relationships they form under the extreme circumstances they find themselves in. For fans of monster movies, Triassic Attack is certainly worth checking out.
