Until They Are Home is a 2012 documentary that portrays the courage American service men and women have shown while protecting freedom. More specifically, it chronicles the dedication and sacrifice the members of the joint POW/MIA Accounting Command in recovering the bodies of American service members left over in a Pacific island during World War II. The dedication shown by these heroes, who, until the release of this movie, went largely unrecognized, knows no bounds. The members of this team went to the island of Tarawa and recovered the bodies of several service men and women and gave them a proper burial. In turn, the families of these deceased military members receive a much needed closure 70 years later.
