A choirmaster has set to music the familiar story of the hesitant and mournful visit of the three Marys to the tomb of Christ. As the Easter sun rises, his play is performed in the church he loves and serves, the Abbaye St. Benoit de Fleury. Over several centuries, similar versions appear at Easter services in many European and British churches.
