Watch What Are You Having?

A young man imagines several scenarios in which he introduces himself to an attractive young woman seated across a crowded cafe. Little does he know, he is not the only one in the cafe dreaming. This short film won the Grand Prix du Court-Metrage at the 2003 Deauville Festival of American Film (jury president: Roman Polanski; jury included Sir Ben Kingsley, Tom Tykwer and Fernando Trueba). It also won a CINE Golden Eagle, and "Best Short Film" at the Abuja International Film Festival, in Nigeria. It was made with the 2002 IFP/Chicago Production Fund grant. It went on to screen at festivals on five continents, including the Seattle International Film Festival, the Hamptons International Film Festival, the S??o Paulo International Film Festival (Brazil), the Avignon Film Festival (France), the Huesca International Film Festival (Spain), The Voladero International Film Festival (Mexico), the Foyle Film Festival (N. Ireland), the International Film Festival of Kerala (India), the Bumbershoot 1-Reel Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Film. The Breckenridge Festival of Film, the New Orleans Film Festival, the New York Exp of Short Film and Video, and the 25th IFP/Market.
