Ep 1. Throw Some Mo

Beyond the Pole season 1 premiered with a bang with episode 1 titled "Throw Some Mo." The show follows the journeys of six professional strippers as they embark on a new chapter in their lives by heading to Atlanta to try and break into the music industry. While they may have faced various trials and tribulations in their lives as strippers, their life experiences have made them more than ready for what lies ahead.

We also meet Thalia, a mother of two who has always struggled balancing work and home life while pursuing her music dreams. Then there’s Ms. Dime, who has a good reason to enter the music world as her father is already famous in the industry. Finally, there’s Angel Kake, who is looking for a fresh start and wants to leverage her skills honed while working as a stripper to become a rapper.

As the episode progresses, the ladies’ journey to become musicians begins. They are introduced to music producers, vocal coaches, and dance instructors. Together they work hard to perfect their skills, practicing tirelessly every day to ensure they have what it takes to amaze the audience with their music and dancing.

The ladies also run into trouble right away, as they face an unexpected setback when their vocal coach decides not to work with them. However, their producer helps them recover quickly, and they come together to practice hip-hop dance routines. They put in extra work when the dance instructor tells them they have the talent, but not enough practice and experience. Undaunted, the ladies soak up feedback, practice, and become more ready with each passing day.

The ladies' resolve is tested further when they run into the other industry professionals who don't take them seriously, taking their previous profession as strippers into account. They are not ready to let go of their dreams and face down negativity with strength and resilience.

Episode one of Beyond the Pole has set the stage for an exciting season to come. We watch as each woman pushes themselves to their limits, with their strong desire to better themselves and break into the unpredictable music industry.
