In the first episode of Black Lake, we are introduced to a group of young friends who embark on a weekend trip to an abandoned ski resort in the Swedish mountains. The resort, which has been closed for years, is said to be haunted by the ghosts of those who died in a tragic accident decades ago.

The group includes Johan, a wealthy businessman, his girlfriend Hanne, their friend Mette, and her new boyfriend Markus. They are joined by two other friends, Lippi and his girlfriend Elin. As they settle into the resort, it quickly becomes clear that the group is not alone. Strange occurrences begin to happen, and tensions rise as they try to figure out what is going on.

Johan, who is the owner of the resort, is determined to turn it into a luxury hotel. He dismisses the claims of his friends that the place is haunted, and insists that they stay and enjoy their weekend. But as the night wears on, the group begins to experience things that cannot be explained. Doors slam shut on their own, strange noises echo through the halls, and a feeling of dread hangs over them.

As they gather around the fireplace, the friends begin to share stories about the accident that happened at the resort years ago. They learn that a group of skiers were caught in an avalanche and buried alive. The bodies of five of the skiers were eventually recovered, but one was never found.

As the night progresses, the friends start to see glimpses of the missing skier, a man named Anders. They hear his voice in the wind, and see his ghostly figure moving through the resort. Johan, who is still convinced that there is a logical explanation for what they are experiencing, suggests that they split up and search the resort.

It quickly becomes apparent that this is a terrible idea. Mette and Markus stumble upon a room filled with old newspapers and clippings about the accident, and are horrified to discover that the missing skier was never found because he was buried inside the resort. Meanwhile, Lippi and Elin encounter a strange woman who appears to be a ghostly apparition.

As the night wears on, the friends become increasingly panicked. They try to leave the resort, but find that they are trapped. The doors have all been locked from the outside, and they hear strange whispers telling them to stay.

The final moments of the episode are truly terrifying. Markus, who has become separated from the group, is confronted by the ghost of Anders. As he tries to run, he realizes that he is lost in a maze of tunnels beneath the resort.

Overall, the first episode of Black Lake is a masterful mix of horror and suspense. The setting is hauntingly atmospheric, and the characters are well-drawn and believable. The show does an excellent job of creating a sense of dread that builds slowly throughout the episode, until it reaches a terrifying climax.
