Jordskott is a Swedish supernatural television series that aired from 2015 to 2017. The show is set in a small town in Sweden, where strange occurrences begin to happen after a young boy, the son of the town’s police chief, disappears. The show follows the investigation into the boy’s disappearance, which leads to the discovery of a deep-seated conspiracy that has been hidden for decades.

Moa Gammel plays Eva Thörnblad, a detective who returns to her hometown years after the disappearance of her daughter. Eva is still deeply affected by the loss of her daughter, which makes it difficult for her to deal with the town’s secrets. Goran Ragnerstam plays Göran Wass, Eva’s former boss who is now in charge of the investigation into the missing boy. Göran is a seemingly cold and distant detective who is hiding his own secrets.

As the investigation into the boy’s disappearance deepens, Eva begins to see strange things in the forest surrounding the town. She starts to suspect that the boy’s disappearance is somehow connected to the ancie nt mythology of the forest. The show draws heavily on Swedish folklore, with themes of trolls, forest spirits, and ancient magic woven into the plot.

One of the strengths of Jordskott is its pacing. The show begins slowly, building tension and introducing the characters and their relationships. As the plot thickens, the show becomes increasingly intense, with unexpected twists and turns that keep the viewer on the edge of their seat. The supernatural elements of the show are introduced gradually, giving the viewer time to adjust to the strange happenings in the town.

Another strength of Jordskott is its characters. Eva Thörnblad is a strong and determined protagonist who is driven by her desire to uncover the truth about her daughter and the missing boy. Göran Wass is a compelling character whose motivations are not always clear. The other characters in the show are well-developed and add depth to the plot.

Overall, Jordskott is a well-crafted supernatural thriller that draws on Scandinavian mythology to create a unique and compelling world. The show is beautifully shot, with stunning landscapes and moody lighting that add to the eerie atmosphere. The characters are well-developed and the plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. Fans of supernatural thrillers and Nordic noir will find much to enjoy in Jordskott.
