Bronx SIU season 1 episode 4, "Can we do that?" finds the SIU team, led by Lieutenant Crosby (Brian J. White), investigating a complex case involving a serial killer who is targeting women in motel rooms. The killer, who the team fears may be a repeat offender, is proving to be elusive and leaving little evidence behind.
At the same time, the team must also deal with a seemingly unrelated case involving an armed robbery at a convenience store. The perpetrator, a young man named Donovan (Tristen J. Winger), is captured on the store's surveillance footage. However, his mother, who is romantically involved with one of the detectives, insists that Donovan is innocent.
As the investigation progresses, the team must navigate complex legal and ethical issues, including whether or not they have the right to search Donovan's home without a warrant. Crosby and his team are determined to bring both cases to a successful conclusion, but they face several obstacles along the way.
Meanwhile, tensions rise between the team members as personal issues begin to get in the way of their work. Det. Stone (Miguel A. Nunez Jr.) is dealing with a family crisis, while Det. Franco (Denise Boutte) struggles with her feelings for her ex-husband, who is also a member of the team.
The episode is a thrilling exploration of the complexities of police work, and raises important questions about the limits of police authority and the treatment of suspects in custody. Will the team be able to solve both cases before it's too late? Tune in to find out.
