Scott Kirchoff: Troubleshooter is the third episode of season nine of Brotherhood Outdoors, a television show that follows union members as they embark on hunting and fishing trips across America. In this episode, the host of the show, Daniel Lee Martin, joins Scott Kirchoff, a heavy equipment mechanic and member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, on a whitetail deer hunt in Illinois.

The episode begins with Martin meeting Kirchoff at his workplace in Illinois. Kirchoff shows Martin around the facility, explaining his role as a troubleshooter and sharing stories from his many years of experience. He takes great pride in his work and his ability to solve complex problems, saying, "I like to call myself a detective. I find out what the problem is and I fix it. That's what I do."

After touring Kirchoff's workplace, the two men head out to the woods for their hunt. Kirchoff has been hunting since he was a boy, and he enjoys the solitude and challenge of the sport. As they settle into their stand, Kirchoff reflects on the lessons he's learned from hunting, saying, "It's taught me patience, it's taught me to appreciate the outdoors. It's just a great way to relax and unwind."

As they wait for a deer to appear, Martin and Kirchoff talk about the importance of unions in their lives. Kirchoff explains that his father was a union member, and that he's proud to carry on his legacy. He also talks about the benefits that come with being part of a union, saying, "I have a good wage, good benefits, a good pension. That's all because of my union."

Eventually, a deer appears and Kirchoff takes his shot. The two men track the deer and find it a short distance away. Kirchoff shows Martin how to field dress the deer, explaining each step of the process as he works. He also talks about the importance of using all parts of the animal, saying, "We're not just out here to kill something. We're out here to harvest it, to use it, to appreciate it."

As they finish up their hunt, Martin and Kirchoff reflect on the experience. Kirchoff says that he's grateful for the opportunity to share his passion with Martin and to represent his union on national television. He also talks about the importance of passing on the tradition of hunting to future generations, saying, "It's up to us to introduce the next generation to the sport and get them interested in it."

Scott Kirchoff: Troubleshooter is a heartwarming and informative episode of Brotherhood Outdoors. Kirchoff's expertise and dedication to his work, his union, and the sport of hunting are clear throughout the episode. Martin's respect for Kirchoff and his mission is evident, and the two men make a great team on their hunt. Viewers will enjoy the lush scenery and the camaraderie between the two men, and may even learn a thing or two about hunting and unions along the way.
