Prepare to live out all your pirating fantasies in the fourth installment of Honest Game Trailers, as we take a snarky look at Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

As with all the other games in the Assassin's Creed franchise, this one takes you on a historical journey, this time back to the age of pirates in the Caribbean. But don't worry, you're not just a regular pirate - you're an assassin pirate! That must make it better, right?

The game starts off with a lengthy tutorial sequence that quickly becomes overwhelming, especially if you haven't played any of the previous games. But once you finally get to the meat of the game, you'll be able to explore the beautiful open world, complete with lush islands, bustling towns, and of course, plenty of ocean.

The game's main story follows Edward Kenway, a British privateer-turned-pirate who somehow manages to get dragged into the centuries-long conflict between the Assassins and the Templars. To be honest, the story can be a bit convoluted at times, but the game's real strength lies in its gameplay.

As an assassin pirate, you get to do all sorts of fun stuff, like climbing on ship masts, boarding other ships, and generally causing chaos on the high seas. You'll also get to engage in naval battles, which are both visually stunning and surprisingly tactical.

One of the main draws of Black Flag is the ability to upgrade and customize your ship, the Jackdaw. You can add new weapons, upgrades, and cosmetic changes to the ship, which can make a huge difference in battles. Plus, it's just really fun to have your own boat.

Another major feature of the game is the ability to hunt and harpoon various sea creatures, including sharks, whales, and even legendary creatures like the Kraken. It's not exactly necessary to the main story, but it's a fun distraction and adds to the overall "pirate" vibe of the game.

Of course, it wouldn't be an Assassin's Creed game without plenty of stealthy assassinations. In Black Flag, you'll be able to sneak around cities and towns, eavesdropping on conversations and taking out targets without being seen. The game also introduces a new feature called "eagle vision," which allows you to sense enemies through walls and accurately predict their movements.

Overall, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is a fun and exciting addition to the franchise, though it can be a bit overwhelming for newcomers. The pirate theme is executed well, and the naval battles in particular are a highlight. As always, the game's story can be a bit hard to follow, but if you're just looking for some swashbuckling fun, Black Flag has got you covered.
