Meanwhile, the Firefly team is having a tough time finding opals, despite their years of experience. They decide to try their luck at a new location, setting up a campsite and digging deeper than ever before. But as they dig, they unearth an unexpected surprise that puts their safety in jeopardy.

The Eromanga team is also having a difficult time, battling harsh weather conditions and equipment failures. Their drilling rig is on the verge of collapsing, and tensions rise among the team members as they try to salvage their operation.

Back at Lightning Ridge, the team's hunch pays off as they strike a rich vein of opal. Justin and Graeme work tirelessly to extract as much opal as possible, but they're soon faced with a new challenge when one of their machines breaks down. With time running out, they have to improvise and get creative to keep their operation going.

As the episode draws to a close, the teams face an uncertain future as they continue to brave the dangers of the Outback in search of opal. The Lightning Ridge team celebrates their success, but they know that every new discovery brings with it new risks and challenges.
