Virgil and Gordon must help a pair of oil rig workers when their platform is hit by a massive earthquake that triggers a massive oil spill. Meanwhile, Scott responds to a distress signal from a cargo plane with a faulty launch platform that is stuck in a mountain tunnel. As the team races to save the workers and stop the oil spill, they discover that the earthquake was caused by a rogue miner who is illegally using explosives to mine for precious metals. With time running out, the Thunderbirds must stop the miner before he causes even more damage and destruction.
