As Ultraman Ace: S1 E3 - Go Up In Flames! Terrible-Monster Hell begins, a towering inferno engulfs a construction site, and the firefighters can't put it out. Meanwhile, a strange creature called Terrible-Monster Hell appears in the city, and Goro encounters it during his monkey research. A group of scientists believes they can create a chemical that will put out the fire, but they require a rare mineral found only in the depths of the ocean.

As Ultraman Ace battles against Terrible-Monster Hell, the Science Garrison sends the MAC over to investigate the mineral, but finds it impossible to retrieve without causing a massive underwater earthquake. Meanwhile, Terrible-Monster Hell proves to be too much for Ace, and it seems that all is lost as the city burns to the ground.

In a last-ditch effort to save the city, the Science Garrison deploys a new Type 2 submarine that can dive deeper than any other machine. However, as they descend, they encounter a strange sea creature that seems to have been mutated by the same mineral they were searching for. The situation becomes dire as the monster attacks and destroys the oxygen supply of the sub.

Back on the surface, Ultraman Ace continues his battle with Terrible-Monster Hell, but as he is about to be defeated, he receives help from an unlikely ally. Together, they defeat the monster, giving the Science Garrison enough time to return to the surface.

As the city is saved and the fire is put out, the Science Garrison realizes that the mineral they were searching for is too dangerous to extract and could cause catastrophic damage if disturbed. Ultraman Ace is hailed as a hero by the people of the city, and humanity is reminded of the need to respect and protect the natural world.
