Ep 1. Resurrection

In the season 2 premiere of the hit comedy series What We Do in the Shadows, titled "Resurrection," we pick up where we left off with our favorite Staten Island vampires: Nandor, Laszlo, Nadja, and Colin Robinson. Having narrowly escaped the clutches of vampire hunters in the first season finale, the group finds themselves facing a new set of challenges as they attempt to navigate their way through the modern world.

The episode opens with Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja mourning the loss of their familiar, Guillermo, who was revealed to be a descendant of legendary vampire hunter Van Helsing. Meanwhile, Colin Robinson is busy trying to capitalize on his newfound power as an "energy vampire," feeding off the negative emotions of his unsuspecting victims in order to fulfill his insatiable hunger.

As the group struggles to come to terms with their ever-evolving world, they are confronted with a shocking revelation: Guillermo is not actually dead. In fact, he has been working with a human vampire hunter named Jenna, who reveals that she and her team are part of a larger network of vampire hunters dedicated to eradicating all vampires from existence.

As Nandor, Laszlo, and Nadja attempt to make sense of this new threat, Colin Robinson finds himself drawn to Jenna's charismatic leader, a charismatic, if not entirely trustworthy, figure named The Baron. As he attempts to navigate this new world of love and power, Colin Robinson must decide whether he is truly willing to betray his friends in order to gain the upper hand.

Throughout the episode, we see the vampires continue to grapple with their place in the world, questioning the morality of their existence and their relationships with one another. As they come to accept their new reality and adjust to the ever-changing nature of their world, they must also confront the very real possibility that their lives may be at risk.

With its signature blend of humor, heart, and horror, What We Do in the Shadows continues to deliver one of the most unique and entertaining viewing experiences on television. "Resurrection" sets the stage for what promises to be another wild and surprising season, as our beloved characters navigate the perils of a world in which nothing is quite as it seems.
