As they weave their way through the crowds, Alex and Lisa meet with a local guide, Ahmed, who takes them on a tour of the city's major landmarks. They visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakesh, and learn about the significance of prayer in Islam. They also explore the Bahia Palace, a stunning 19th-century palace with intricate tilework and lush gardens.

Throughout their tour, Alex and Lisa are struck by the contrasts they see in Marrakesh. They observe modern cars driving alongside donkeys pulling carts, and high-end fashion boutiques situated next to traditional spice shops.

After their tour, Ahmed takes Alex and Lisa to a traditional Moroccan restaurant, where they sample a variety of flavorful dishes, including tagine, a slow-cooked stew made with meat, vegetables, and spices. They also learn about Moroccan tea culture and the importance of hospitality in Moroccan society.

In the second half of the episode, Alex and Lisa travel outside of Marrakesh to visit a Berber village in the Atlas Mountains. The Berbers are an indigenous group in North Africa with a distinct culture and language.

They meet with a Berber family who invites them into their home for a traditional meal. The family shows them how they bake bread in a communal oven and prepare couscous, a staple food in Berber cuisine. They also learn about the importance of community in Berber culture and the significance of traditional music and dance.

Throughout the episode, Alex and Lisa are continually enchanted by the warmth and hospitality of the Moroccan people. They gain a deeper appreciation for the country's rich cultural heritage and the diversity of its people and customs.
