Emma Watson to Star in 'Beauty and the Beast'?

Devastated at the end of the Harry Potter saga? Distraught at the thought of having to leave the lovely, blossoming flower that is Emma Watson behind for good?
Fret not, Potter fans, Emma Watson will soon be returning to the screen, and if the rumors are true, her newest project could be a remarkable one. Comingsoon.net is reporting that Denise Di Novi, who produced the forthcoming "Crazy, Stupid, Love" said that "she's developing an adaptation of 'Beauty and the Beast' alongside [Guillermo] del Toro and that Emma Watson is set to star."
Emma Watson as the Beauty? Who will play the beast? A beautiful young starlet from a wildly popular film series takes on the lead role in a fairy tale - where else have I heard that story before?
Of course, rabid Potter fans won't have to wait until those vital questions are answered to see Watson on the big screen again. She's slated to star in "My Week with Marilyn" alongside Michelle Williams, and "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" alongside "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev in late 2011 and 2012, respectively.
Watson apparently worked on the financing for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" herself, and as she told Vogue, the role she takes on in that film is quite diferent from Hermione.
“Sam is such a different girl from who I am," said Watson. "I’ve been listening to the Smiths on repeat for weeks.”
