Hejar, also known as Big Man, Little Love, was released in 2001 and tells the story of a Kurdish orphan and a Turkish pensioner. The two are thrown together suddenly by circumstance, when a police raid on their neighbors lead Hejar to seek refuge in the home of the pensioner. He is widow and likes his solitude, however he starts to warm up to the child over time and comes to the conclusion that he wants to try to help reunite her with her family.
