Tan De Repente is an Argentinian/Dutch collaboration about a young, impressionable retail worker who learns about true love and finds her true personality. Starring Tatiana Saphir as Marcia, an overweight retail worker who seems to lead a dull, boring life. Her boyfriend recently dumped her and she feels lonely, abandoned by the whole world.

Her world changes drastically when a lesbian woman named Mao comes to her store and attempts to make advances towards Marcia, who tells Mao she's not a lesbian. Undeterred, Mao, with the help from her friend Lenin, Mao talks Marcia into getting in a cab which the two women immediately steal.

The three girls end up at the home of Lenin's aunt Blanca's home. All four women begin to develop emotional connections and realize they have empty feelings which need to be fulfilled. The movie is all about human relationships and how circumstances can alter and change those relationships.
