This is a dramatic war movie about a woman and her husband who live in Bavaria. The people there are ready to revolt. She does not want to be involved, so they move to Tyrol. There they encounter a revolutionary leader who is intent on helping the people of Bavaria and trying to draw the couple into his web. This movie tells the tales of those involved in the historical 1809 revolt.
