The legend of Boggy Creek focuses on a small town in south west Arkansas. This is a documentary style drama that is based on actual events that occurred in May of 1972. Many people around the Fouke, Arkansas area had been hearing strange howling and screaming noises coming from and around the woods. They had no idea what was making the noise it was something they were not familiar with at the time. The movie shows how one family is seeing a seven foot tall, hairy man like creature moving around outside of their home in the outskirts of Fouke. They are located on the Boggy Creek in an isolated area, one night the wife is at home alone and she sees this hairy beast outside of her window and feels threatened. Later on that night everyone is home and they hear a noise outside the home. One of the men goes outside to investigate and is attacked by the beast and must be taken to the hospital where he is treated for non life threatening injuries and shock. The next day the family that was attacked packed up and left, so afraid, they were determined to be gone before nightfall. Law enforcement officers tracked the beast with dogs but to no avail. Many residents were frightened and this story became a national story. Many in Fouke thought that it would just blow over but the news stories kept it alive. Then in July of that same year some tracks were found just outside of Fouke. They were able to find these tracks in a bean field and cast them. They were the tracks of a three toed beast, unlike anything they had seen before. It seems the stalkings have quit for now.
