'Twilight' Star Anna Kendrick and 'Bones' Star John Francis Daley Cast in Post-Apocalyptic 'Rapture-Palooza'

You might have seen one of those billboards saying that the Rapture is coming on May 21st, 2011. In that case, the upcoming film "Rapture-Palooza," set in a post-Rapture world, would be a very timely one. Too bad nobody will be around to see it, eh?

Regardless, "Rapture-Palooza" has just gained two new cast members: "Twilight" star Anna Kendrick has joined on, along with "Bones" star John Francis Daley.

Kendrick has been on fire lately, ever since her breakout performance in "Up in the Air," which earned her a well-deserved Oscar nomination. She has since turned in great performances in all of the "Twilight" movies, and recently wrapped on "Breaking Dawn." She also played a hilarious supporting role in "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World."

Daley has most recently appeared in "Bones," but others might know him as Sam Weir from Judd Apatow's series "Freaks and Geeks," which jump-started the careers of Seth Rogen, James Franco, Linda Cardellini, and others.

"Rapture-Palooza" is being described as "'Zombieland' meets 'The Big Lebowski,'" as a comedy with a post-apocalyptic sci-fi twist. Kinda sounds like the best thing ever, doesn't it?

The movie is just one of a string of micro-budgeted movies to be released by Lionsgate. If all of them continue to sound as good as this one, I'm on board!
