Two years ago, if you put Johnny Depp in a movie, you'd likely have a hit on your hands. These days, it's starting to look like Depp is incapable of luring ticket buyers on the strength of his name alone. But is it Depp's problem, or are we just past the days when a hot leading man could sell a movie all by himself?

They both have castles, queens, swords and thrilling intrigue. It makes sense that someone should see the connection between "Game of Thrones" and "Frozen." A new musical mashup video getting lots of views on YouTube sets the saga of Westeros to the tune of the biggest musical number from the smash Disney movie.

In the future, Johnny Depp might want to start dressing like a pirate again. The performance of "Transcendence" over the weekend reinforces the argument that no one wants to see him unless he's in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow.

"Walking Dead" fans who wish the show would never end have a kindred spirit in showrunner Scott Gimple. The zombie drama could, theoretically, keep going forever, even after all the original characters are dead, Gimple thinks. Some fans, though, are terrified by that idea.

Over the Easter weekend, movie goers will have four new movies to choose from. Despite that, early interest in the new releases--or lack thereof--suggests that most ticket buyers will choose to see one of the holdovers from the past few weeks instead.
