'American Horror Story' Season 2: Joseph Fiennes Might Join the Cast

'American Horror Story' Season 2: Joseph Fiennes Might Join the Cast "American Horror Story" may have just found its asylum owner for its second, and sure to be very creepy, season.

According to THR, Joseph Fiennes is in talks to join the cast for next season in a potentially major role. Fiennes is being considered to play the owner of the insane asylum that will serve as the second season's setting. In this role, Fiennes would be working on the asylum staff with character played by returning star Jessica Lange and joining cast member James Cromwell, and might even serve as a love interest to Lange's character.

Fiennes has a history with AHS creator Ryan Murphy, as he starred in Murphy's previous pilot "Pretty/Handsome." That pilot was passed on, but Fiennes may have another chance to work with Murphy here.

You might know Fiennes from the short-lived show "FlashForward," which attempted to ride on the "Lost" craze by attempting another mystery show. Fiennes also starred in the miniseries "Camelot," but might be best known for his role in the Oscar-winning "Shakespeare in Love."

If Fiennes is cast, he will join a list that includes the aforementioned Lange and Cromwell, in addition to Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Chloe Sevigny, and "The Voice" mentor and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.
