Fall 2011 TV Preview: A&E Premiere Schedule

Fall 2011 TV Preview: A&E Premiere Schedule A&E has made a name for itself in the documentary/reality show niche as viewers find themselves addicted to the drama of shows like "Intervention" and "Hoarders." While neither of those shows are set to return until later, the Fall 2011 slate for A&E is still packed with some fun reality fare to hold you over.

New Shows:

"Storage Wars: Dallas" - Wednesday, September 14th at 10:30pm ET/PT

More of a spinoff than a brand-new show, "Storage Wars: Dallas" takes the tradition of the original "Storage Wars" and plops it in a new city. Just as with the original, the show will follow buyers as they bid in storage locker auctions in the hopes of finding a jackpot of treasure. Often, though, it's just a bunch of trash...but there's some fun in watching that happen, too.

"Monster In-Laws" - Monday, October 24th at 10pm ET/PT

Just in time for Halloween, A&E will be bringing you a truly scary scenario: dealing with horrible in-laws. This new reality show from A&E will follow newlywed couples as they try (and often fail) to get along with their new in-laws. If that isn't a recipe for deliciously bad reality TV, I don't know what is.

Returning Shows:

"Gene Simmons Family Jewels" - Tuesday, October 4th at 9pm ET/PT

When "The Osbournes" stopped, "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" stepped in to fill the void. While there can never truly be a comparison to the zaniness that was the Osbourne household, this former Kiss frontman does his best to play the part of the aging rockstar patriarch. This will be season six of the long-running show.

Unscheduled Returning Shows:

You can expect to see new seasons of "Intervention" and "Dog the Bounty Hunter" sometime in the fourth quarter of this year, however A&E has not scheduled them yet. Scripted series "Breakout Kings" will also be returning for its second season, but likely not until early 2012.
