Aadu 2 is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language comedy film directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas and starring Jayasurya in the lead role. However, their plans go awry when they find out that they have been sold a fake goat which was supposed to be their secret weapon in the competition. What follows is a hilarious chain of events, as they try to retrieve the goat and save face in front of their competitors.
Jayasurya returns as Shaji Pappan, the charismatic and flamboyant leader of the group. His performance is once again a highlight of the movie, as he effortlessly carries the film on his shoulders with his impeccable comic timing and infectious energy. The supporting cast, comprising of Saiju Kurup, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Vijay Babu, Vinayakan and Bhagath Manuel, is also outstanding, and they all get their moments to shine, delivering some hilarious one-liners and slapstick moments.
The film's director Midhun Manuel Thomas deserves special mention for his superb direction. He understands the pulse of the audience and has crafted a movie that is perfectly tailored for the Malayali audience. The movie is filled with local jokes and witty references, which add to the overall charm of the film.
