Across the Plains is an American Western film from 1939. The film opens as Native Americans raid a wagon and results in Jack and Jimmy Winters, young siblings, becoming separated and the execution of the boys' parents. While Jack is captured and raised by the tribesmen and rechristened as Cherokee, Jimmy grew up in the shadow of a lawless man known as Buff. The passage of two decades is enough time to pass to reunite these two brothers when Jimmy, now going by the nickname of The Kansas Kid, raids a caravan that's being lead by his native-raised brother, Jack.
