Adopting Trouble is a comedy-drama film released in 2016, directed by Lee Gardner and starring Ryan Templeman, Heather Murdock, and Ariana Escalante in the lead roles. The film revolves around a couple, Tim (played by Templeman) and his wife Caroline (Murdock), who are unable to conceive a child and opt for adoption. The movie starts with Tim and Caroline eagerly attending an adoption orientation meeting. They seem excited, yet nervous, about the prospect of finally becoming parents. As they go through the adoption process, they encounter a series of obstacles, including a prospective birth mother who is flighty and noncommittal.

The couple soon realizes that the adoption process is more complicated than they had initially thought. They have to undergo rigorous background checks, fill out endless forms, and spend an exorbitant amount of money. To make matters worse, Tim's brother and sister-in-law, who are naturally adept at having children, make repeated digs at their inability to conceive and adopt successfully.

As the couple's frustration deepens, they introduce some comic relief by involving themselves in a series of surreptitious activities to reduce their stress levels. They start by stealing office supplies from Tim's workplace, proceed to sneak into a neighbor's pool for a swim, and ultimately end up breaking into a maternity ward to take a gift for their prospective birth mother. The wit and humor in these scenes provide the much-needed levity in the film.

As the adoption process progresses, the couple's fortunes start to turn around, and they finally manage to find a suitable birth mother. Everything appears to be going well until the birth mother's boyfriend pops up, making unreasonable demands and causing untold trouble.

Throughout the course of the movie, the couple is constantly supported by their close friends, Mark and Lisa, who listen to their problems and offer some much-needed advice. The relationships between the characters are heartwarming, with Tim and Caroline's love for each other and their desire to be parents at the center of everything.

Overall, Adopting Trouble is a charming and relatable film that tackles a prevalent social issue. It shows the complexities involved in the adoption process while also providing a healthy dose of humor. The characters are likeable, and the storyline is engaging, making it a must-watch for anyone who loves family drama and comedy genres.
