"After Midnight" is a horror anthology film from 1989 that uses a college course labeled "The Psychology of Fear" as a jumping-off point for its trio of horrific tales: "The Old Dark House," "A Night on the Town," and "All Night Messenger." After one student in the class becomes scared to the point of urinating upon himself, the class is prematurely ended by the professor. The professor then offers to teach his students a private lesson at his home. The first story is about a couple that winds up seeking help in an abandoned home after their car breaks down. The second story involves a quarter of teenagers, one of whom is played by sitcom actress Tracy Wells, trying to find something fun to do late at night. The final story, which features actress Marg Helgenberger, involves a woman working the late shift at a telephone messaging service and becoming a pawn in a game with a spiteful woman and the woman's stalker. "After Midnight" is 90 minutes in length and is both written and directed by Jim and Ken Wheat. Although the film hit theaters back in 1989, it did not see a DVD release until September of 2005.
