Andhrudu is a 2005 Telugu-language action drama film directed by Paruchuri Murali and starring Gopichand, Gowri Pandit, and Sayaji Shinde in lead roles. The film was released on August 26, 2005. The story of the film revolves around Surendra (Gopichand), a happy-go-lucky, carefree and irresponsible young man. He is the son of a wealthy businessman (Satyanarayana) who runs a construction company, but Surendra doesn't have any interest in the family business. He spends his time hanging out with his friends, playing pranks, racing with his car, and flirting with girls.

One day, Surendra meets Anjali (Gowri Pandit), a cheerful and virtuous girl who is studying engineering. They fall in love with each other and start dating. Anjali is the complete opposite of Surendra in terms of her values and principles. She tries to change Surendra's irresponsible lifestyle and make him a responsible person.

Meanwhile, Surendra's father gets embroiled in a legal case involving the construction of a dam. Pratap (Sayaji Shinde), a corrupt politician, wants to take over the land on which the dam is being built, and he uses his power and influence to frame Surendra's father in a false case. Surendra's father is arrested, and the family's reputation is tarnished.

Determined to clear his father's name and expose Pratap, Surendra takes up the challenge and decides to fight against corruption. He becomes more responsible, focused and brave, and sets out to gather evidence against Pratap. Anjali supports him in his mission.

Surendra confronts Pratap and his goons, and engages in a high-voltage action sequence. He proves his father's innocence in the court, and Pratap is finally brought to justice.

The film also features a subplot showing the bond between Surendra and his family, especially his mother (Kavitha) and sister (Harshavardhan). The family values and emotional scenes add depth to the narrative.

The film's music is composed by Kalyani Malik, and the songs are melodious and catchy. The cinematography by Ravi Yadav is visually appealing, and the action sequences are well-choreographed.

Andhrudu is a typical masala entertainer that caters to the tastes of the Telugu audience. The film has all the elements of a commercial potboiler - action, romance, comedy, emotion, and drama. Gopichand delivers an impressive performance as the hero, and Gowri Pandit shines in the role of the heroine. Sayaji Shinde is effective as the villain, and the supporting cast has done a decent job.

Overall, Andhrudu is a good watch for fans of action dramas and commercial Telugu cinema.
