Arisan! is a comedy-drama Indonesian movie released in 2003. The movie is about a group of wealthy and successful women living in Jakarta, Indonesia, who are also best friends. They gather once a month for an "arisan" or lottery, where they all contribute money and one of them wins a large amount. This tradition has been going on for years but things start to change when one of their friend's husband admits that he is gay.

The movie takes you through the lives of these women, who are all in some way dealing with personal issues. It is centered on Meimei (Cut Mini Theo), a wealthy businesswoman who is married to a cheating husband. She is struggling to maintain a happy marriage while dealing with her husband's infidelities. One of her friends offers her the services of a gigolo, which she initially rejects but ultimately gives in to.

Another friend, Sakti (Tora Sudiro), is a movie star who is struggling to keep up with his popularity. His publicist advises him to get married to boost his image but Sakti is secretly gay and is in a relationship with one of the other friends in the group. This creates tension and drama within the friend group, and Sakti struggles to keep his secret hidden.

The third friend, Din (Aida Nurmala), is a successful doctor who is in a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend. She is initially hesitant to get married and is pressurized by her boyfriend's family into considering it.

The movie explores the dynamic between the three friends and their personal struggles. Their monthly gatherings become a space where they can share their problems and support each other. The characters are well developed, and the actors do a fantastic job of portraying their respective roles.

The movie also touches upon the themes of homosexuality and infidelity, which were relatively taboo topics in Indonesian cinema at the time. The director, Nia Dinata, bravely addresses these issues and doesn't shy away from showing the realities of the characters' lives.
