Bad Meat is a horror-comedy film released in 2011, directed by Lulu Jarmen and written by Paul Gerstenberger. The movie stars Mark Pellegrino, Elisabeth Harnois, and Dave Franco, among others. The movie revolves around a group of troubled teens who are sent to a rehabilitation center to fix their problems. However, things take a turn for the worse when tainted meat is served to them, turning everyone who consumes it into ravenous, flesh-eating monsters.

The story begins when a group of teenagers with different backgrounds arrive at Camp Hope, a rehabilitation center that promises to help them fix their issues. Among the troubled teens are Justin (Dave Franco), Tyler (Jessica Parker Kennedy), Taylor (Eva Link) and Emma (Elisabeth Harnois), who is haunted by her past and struggles to fit in.

Despite their differences, the teens gradually come together as they try to survive the horrors of the rehabilitation center, which is staffed by a group of inept and uncaring adults. However, things take a turn for the worse when tainted meat is served to the teenagers by the careless and incompetent kitchen staff.

Before long, the staff and the teens who have consumed the tainted meat start becoming violently ill and exhibiting strange behaviors. As the situation spirals out of control, it becomes clear that the meat is contaminated with a deadly virus that turns those who consume it into savage, flesh-eating monsters. Soon, the once-troubled teenagers are forced to band together and fight for their survival against the infected staff and other monsters who roam the deserted campgrounds.

The movie is packed with horror and gore, but also with comedic moments that help lighten the overall mood. The film effectively uses satire to poke fun at the usual tropes found in horror movies. The story also does a good job of showing how the different characters react and cope with the terrifying and chaotic situation they find themselves in.

Mark Pellegrino delivers an excellent performance as the villainous and brutish head of staff, while Elisabeth Harnois shines as the strong-willed and determined Emma. Dave Franco also portrays his character with the right balance of humor and vulnerability, making him a character the audience can root for.

In terms of cinematography, the film makes good use of its limited budget. The scenes are well composed, and the lighting and visual effects are effective in portraying the film's horror elements.

However, the film does have its flaws. The pacing can be slow at times, and some of the characters feel underdeveloped or stereotypical. The ideas presented in the film are not particularly original, as the plot follows the familiar formula of a group of survivors banding together to survive in a zombie-infested world.

Overall, Bad Meat is a fun horror-comedy film that delivers enough gore and laughs to satisfy fans of both genres. The movie is not without its flaws, but it still manages to entertain with its mix of satire, horror, and comedy. If you're a fan of zombie movies or black comedy, Bad Meat may just be the perfect movie for you.

Bad Meat is a 2011 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 32 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.7.
