Barbazul (Bluebeard) is a 2012 film that delves into the realm of horror and suspense. Directed and written by Luciano Onetti, this movie tells the story of a man who was sentenced to spend time in the state penitentiary for a crime he didn't commit. The movie starts in a dark alley, as Barbazul (played by Jac Avila) is released from prison after spending 20 years there. He goes back to his old home, an abandoned mansion where he spent his childhood. His sister Nadia (played by Veronica Paintoux) helps him refurbish the mansion, which has been vacant for years, and the two of them start to uncover the secrets that the mansion has been hiding.

Barbazul, haunted by his past, is a lonely man who is unable to connect with others, leading him to resort to extreme measures to cope with his loneliness. He is also obsessed with the idea of love and uses his power and wealth to lure women into his home, under the guise of finding his true love. However, these women never leave the mansion alive.

As Barbazul begins to relive the memories of his past, he becomes increasingly delusional and erratic, fueling his obsessive behavior. He feels an urge to find a bride who will love him for who he is, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

What follows is a dark and suspenseful story that slowly unravels the mystery of Barbazul's past, revealing the gruesome truths about his life and the mansion he calls home.

The movie is skillfully crafted, with stunning cinematography and expert use of lighting and color. The use of shadows and darkness helps to set the ominous tone of the film, and the music, composed by Luciano Onetti and Goblin's Massimo Morante and Maurizo Guarini, adds to the atmosphere of the movie.

The acting in Barbazul is excellent, with standout performances by Jac Avila, Veronica Paintoux, and Mila Joya. Avila skillfully portrays the struggling and haunted Barbazul, playing a character that is both terrifying and sympathetic. Paintoux delivers a powerful performance as Nadia, Barbazul's loving but troubled sister, and Mila Joya shines in her brief appearance as Ana, one of Barbazul's ill-fated brides.

Overall, Barbazul (Bluebeard) is a haunting and suspenseful movie that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. It is a testament to the power of storytelling and the art of cinema, and it is a film that is sure to stay with you long after the credits roll.
