Watch Bastards

In Morocco, as in all Muslim countries, sex outside marriage is illegal. Single mothers are despised and their children considered outcasts, condemned to a life of discrimination.̐"̐"_The first person to film in the Moroccan family courts, Deborah Perkin, follows Rabha El Haimer over a period of eighteen months, as she tries to legitimise her forced marriage and protect her daughter from the burdens of prejudice and disadvantage.
