This documentary showcases the relationship between an Orthodox Jewish woman and her blind, autistic Palestinian music student. Devorah Schramm, an American-born pianist and composer, relocated to Israel with her family in 1975, and she and her husband Lenn later moved to Gilo, on the outskirts of Jerusalem, where she began teaching piano at the Jerusalem Conservatory of Music. In 1987, the Conservatory's director introduced her to 9 year-old Rasha Hamad. Immediately, Rasha showed an astonishing faculty for piano, and Devorah has helped her advance her skills further and further for 18 years.
