Bilal is a 2015 animated feature film directed by Khurram H. Alavi and Ayman Jamal. The movie is based on the true story of Bilal Ibn Rabah, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad and one of the earliest converts to Islam. The movie centers around the life of Bilal (voiced by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a young boy who was stolen from his family and sold into slavery in the Arabian Peninsula. He is forced to work as a servant for Umayya (voiced by Ian McShane), a cruel and wealthy merchant who treats him and his fellow slaves with cruelty and inhumanity.

Despite the hardships he faces as a slave, Bilal clings to his faith and finds solace in his dreams of freedom and redemption. He is inspired by the wise words of his mother and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who preaches that all men are equal in the eyes of God.

With the help of his friend Khabbab (voiced by Mick Wingert), Bilal embarks on a dangerous journey to escape from Umayya's clutches and find a better life. Along the way, he meets a group of rebels who are fighting for their freedom and the rights of the oppressed.

Bilal soon becomes a powerful symbol of hope and inspiration for the rebels, who see in him the spirit of a true warrior and believer. As he grows in strength and conviction, Bilal confronts his oppressors and challenges them to see the error of their ways.

The movie features stunning animation, as well as a powerful score by composer Atli Örvarsson. The voice acting is also top-notch, with Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje delivering a truly heartfelt and emotional performance as Bilal.

In addition to Akinnuoye-Agbaje and McShane, the movie features a talented cast of voice actors, including China Anne McClain as the spirited rebel Ghufaira, Michael Gross as the wise elder Hamza, and Jacob Latimore as the brave young warrior Saad.

Overall, Bilal is a powerful and moving film that tells an important and timely story about the struggle for freedom and justice. It's a must-see for anyone who loves epic tales of heroism and triumph over adversity.

Bilal is a 2016 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 7.6 and a MetaScore of 52.
