The movie is based on the true story of Bilal Ibn Rabah, a companion of the Prophet Muhammad and one of the earliest converts to Islam. The movie centers around the life of Bilal (voiced by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a young boy who was stolen from his family and sold into slavery in the Arabian Peninsula. Despite the hardships he faces as a slave, Bilal clings to his faith and finds solace in his dreams of freedom and redemption. He is inspired by the wise words of his mother and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who preaches that all men are equal in the eyes of God.
