Byabodhan is an Indian Bengali film directed by Basu Chatterjee, starring Moon Moon Sen and Victor Banerjee in the lead roles. The film revolves around a woman named Chandana, who is married to a man named Sanjay. Chandana is a talented artist who is very passionate about her work. Sanjay on the other hand is a simple man who runs a small business.

The couple had been married for fifteen years and had two children. One day, Sanjay begins to feel ignored and neglected by his wife because of her obsession with her art. She spends hours holed up in her studio, leaving Sanjay to take care of the children and their home. Her actions also cause her relationship with Sanjay to deteriorate. The couple slowly grows distant from each other, leading Sanjay to doubt whether he is even loved by Chandana anymore.

As a result, Sanjay decides to leave home and meets with a fatal accident, leaving Chandana in deep remorse for not being able to give him the attention he deserved. She decides to give up painting and dedicate her time to taking care of their children and household. But, deep inside she realizes that she still loved Sanjay and that she would never be able to change that.

The twist in the film comes when Chandana starts to experience some strange occurrences in her house. She begins to hear Sanjay's voice and sees his apparition in the house. She also starts to receive letters from him, the first of which reads, "You thought I was dead but I am alive". Chandana cannot understand what is happening and is terrified by the experiences. She turns to her friends and family for help but none can give her a logical explanation.

As the days pass by, Chandana begins to receive more letters from Sanjay which reveal that he was a spy working undercover for Indian intelligence agencies. The letters describe a momentous discovery that he had made before his so-called death. He had discovered a plot by Pakistani intelligence to bomb a particular area in India, which would result in the death of many innocent people.

Chandana is shocked and surprised by these revelations. She decides to act upon the information and convinces her late husband's colleagues to help her in foiling the plot. Meanwhile, she continues to receive letters from Sanjay, who inexplicably guides her through the ordeal, leading to the final confrontation with the terrorists.

Byabodhan is a beautifully made film that deals with the complexities and nuances of married life. It also touches upon the themes of love, betrayal, and the paranormal. The film paints a very realistic picture of how relationships, no matter how strong, can falter due to neglect and lack of communication. It is a gripping and emotionally charged film that leaves a mark on the viewer's mind.

Moon Moon Sen has given a nuanced and heartfelt performance in the film. Her portrayal of Chandana is beautiful, as she captures the character’s struggle and emotions perfectly. Victor Banerjee has also given a great performance in his role as Sanjay, he depicts composure, yet emits empathy and affection towards Moon Moon Sen's character.

The film's direction by Basu Chatterjee is perfectly executed, as he creates a tense and suspenseful film that is sure to capture the viewer's attention. The cinematography by Ajay Prabhakar is beautiful, as he captures the essence of Kolkata, India, where the film is set.

In conclusion, Byabodhan is a must-watch film for lovers of suspense and supernatural thrillers. It is a well-crafted movie that leaves a lasting impression due to its engaging plot, strong performances, and excellent direction.
