The toads have since spread to almost a third of the country and have wrecked havoc on Australia's wildlife and ecosystems. The toads are venomous and many predators such as birds and snakes are being poisoned by eating them. The film is a sequel to Cane Toads: An Unnatural History that was released in 1988.
