In Chakradhaar, a 2012 Indian action drama film directed by Shakur Sir and written by Yash-Vinay, the story revolves around a gangster named Raj Yadav, played by Darshan Jariwala, who has created an empire of crime in the city of Mumbai. Despite being feared by many, Raj Yadav meets his match in a young police officer named Varad Bhosle, played by Abishek Anand.

Varad Bhosle is an honest and determined police officer who is newly assigned to Mumbai's underground crime department. He is shocked to discover the vast network of illegal activities that exist in the city and is even more dismayed when he realizes that Raj Yadav is the mastermind of these crimes. Despite the risks involved, Varad makes it his mission to bring the gangster to justice.

Meanwhile, Raj Yadav has other problems to deal with. He is experiencing a power struggle within his own gang as one of his top henchmen, Mhatre, played by Zakir Hussain, has become too ambitious for his liking. Raj Yadav wants to teach Mhatre a lesson and decides to do so by giving him an impossible task. However, little does Raj Yadav realize that Mhatre is only biding his time and is planning to take over the entire empire.

The movie is an action-packed thriller that showcases the workings of the Mumbai underworld. It also explores the grey areas that exist in society, where good people sometimes have to take recourse to immoral activities in order to achieve their goals.

Lead actor Abishek Anand gives a commendable performance as Varad Bhosle. He is the quintessential hero who is willing to go to any lengths to ensure justice is served. His character is well-defined and the writing ensures that his motivations and actions are clear and justified.

Darshan Jariwala, who plays Raj Yadav, gives a performance that is both menacing and relatable. He is a gangster who has a soft spot for his loyal followers and is a family man at heart. Despite being the antagonist, the audience is left wondering if they should root for him too.

Zakir Hussain is excellent as Mhatre. He is a character who is full of ambition and hunger for power. Despite being the second-in-command, he is constantly trying to undermine Raj Yadav's authority, which leads to a power struggle between the two.

The rest of the cast provides able support, and each actor has been given well-defined characters that add to the overall narrative. The screenplay is taut and keeps the audience engaged throughout the movie. The direction is also commendable, with well-choreographed action sequences and clear storytelling.

The music of Chakradhaar is a mix of item numbers and romantic songs, which are catchy and hummable. The background score is also effective in heightening the tension during the action sequences.

Overall, Chakradhaar is an enjoyable watch for action lovers. The movie has all the tropes of an action movie - guns, fights, and explosions - while also exploring the dynamics of the Mumbai underworld. The performances are good, the direction is effective, and the storytelling is engaging.

Chakradhaar is a 2012 action movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 3 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.3.
