Watch Cheyenne: Indians Of The Plains

With the Sioux, the Cheyenne dominated the western plains, hunted buffalo, and stayed free longer than other tribes. Their name means the beautiful people and they were known for their strong religious beliefs and for their strong warrior class, the Dog Soldiers. The Sand Creek Massacre was the beginning of the end of their freedom.
