Cold Sweat is a Franco-Italian thriller from 1970 about Joe Moran, a sergeant within the United States army during the Korean War. After several compromises and circumstances, Moran is imprisoned within Germany's black market, along with Captain Ross, the commander of Moran's company, and Vermont, an solder under Moran's command. The three have been imprisoned for the black market and plot an escape with the aide of Katanga, a former member of the Foreign Legion. Although the jailbreak goes as planned, Katanga murders a German constable. Disgusted with Katanga's actions, Joe abandons the rest of the escapees, producing enough noise to gain the attention of German officials who managed to recapture everyone but Moran. As time passes, Joe now goes by the name of Joe Martin, a married man with a tween daughter and a job renting boats in Southern France. Just as the atrocities of the past could not be further away from his mind, Joe's picture makes the local news, along with the faces of Ross, Vermont, and Katanga. These men have become drug smugglers hellbent on revenge for Joe's betrayal. Joe is left to either help smuggle drugs with his boats or leave his family to die.
