Damo & Ivor is a 2018 Irish comedy film that follows the story of two identical twin brothers who were separated at birth. The movie stars Andy Quirke, who also wrote the film, and Graeme Singleton as the twin brothers Damo and Ivor, respectively. Damo and Ivor are polar opposites of each other. Damo is a working-class gent from North Dublin who is ignorant and self-centered, while Ivor is a posh and chivalrous guy from South Dublin who has never worked a day in his life. The movie depicts their unique lives and their eventual reunion.

The movie begins with a flashback of Damo and Ivor's mother dying while giving birth to them. The babies are then separated, with Damo being raised by his grandmother and Ivor being raised by his father, who is a wealthy, conservative man. The story then fast-forwards to the present day, where Damo, now grown up, works as a window cleaner and has a reputation for being a ladies' man, while Ivor is being groomed to take over his father's business and has never stepped foot outside of his privileged bubble.

The plot of the movie follows Damo's quest to find his father, whom he has never met, and his equally determined attempt to win over the heart of his crush, Sorcha, who works at a local supermarket. During his journey, he discovers that he has a brother, Ivor, who is the complete opposite of him.

After learning about his long-lost brother, Damo sets off to meet him, hoping to find some common ground. However, their first meeting is less than ideal, as they both find it difficult to relate to each other. As the story unfolds, the two gradually develop a bond that was missing in their lives. While Damo teaches Ivor how to loosen up and enjoy life, Ivor teaches Damo how to be a gentleman.

Throughout the movie, there are several comedic moments, as the duo meets different characters, mostly from North Dublin, who create hilarious situations. One of the most memorable scenes is when the brothers visit the local fair and end up getting into a fight with a group of travelers. The fight scene is hilarious, with Damo and Ivor's vastly different approaches to fighting.

Another hilarious scene is when Damo and Ivor visit Sorcha's house, with Damo pretending to be Ivor, while in Ivor's putrid car, pretending to be Damo. The two end up getting caught, and the chaos that ensues is hysterical.

While Damo & Ivor is mainly a comedy film, it also has its fair share of emotional moments. One of the most touching moments is when the two brothers have a heart-to-heart conversation about their past and what they want for their future. Another emotional scene is when Damo learns the truth about his mother's death, an event that changes his outlook on life.

In conclusion, Damo & Ivor is a comedic masterpiece that showcases the talents of Andy Quirke and Graeme Singleton. The movie is not only hilarious but also heartwarming and emotional, with a compelling storyline. It's a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good laugh and a heartwarming tale of brotherhood.
