This Turkish sports drama film was released in theaters in 2000. The film is also known as Offside, referring to an offside position in the sport of soccer. Set in 1980s Turkey the film follows 30-year-old Suat, a man who lives with his parents and works at his family's store. He also plays as goalie for neighborhood soccer team Esnaf Spor which plays in the amateur division. Suat is in love with the beautiful Nurten, but she has not responded to his many secret letters of admiration. Meanwhile the people in Suat's neighborhood want to see the team win the league championship.
