David Bowie - The Calm Before the Storm focuses on Bowie's career prior to the Ziggy Stardust albums that would become his most memorable works. The movie focuses on the early part of Bowie's career, and devotes a large portion of time to the period when Bowie was working on and releasing his second and third album, his last before he reinvented his image as the science fiction-esque Ziggy.
