Watch David Williamson's Emerald City

Step into the glittering jewel of Sydney, Australia, where a fading Melbourne screenwriter named Colin quickly finds himself seduced by the city's obsession with material success. After teaming up with well-connected movie hack writer Mike, Colin is pulled into a fierce tug-of-war between his deep artistic ambitions and the lure of big bucks. With fame, fortune, and a panoramic view of the harbor up for grabs, this sharp production delivers part love letter and part hate mail to the famous harbor city. Written by David Williamson, Australian theatre's most beloved craftsman, Emerald City perfectly captures the ballsy spirit of the 1980s. Three decades after its premiere, the play retains its skewering sharpness, offering a brilliant, satirical look at a society that has always prized beauty over brains.

David Williamson's Emerald City is a 2016 arts entertainment and culture movie with a runtime of 2 hours.
