Miriam Wilkens, daughter of a high-powered senator, decides to start a program that will help ex-convicts when they are released from prison. Her father is unaware that she has appointed him as the honorary president of the organization. The senator finds out that one of his workhands is an ex-convict that he sent to prison. He wants to fire him, but his daughter thinks that will be a bad idea. Problems arise when the senator realizes that he cannot win either side of the fight.
