Del Amor y Otros Demonios (Of Love and Other Demons) is a 2009 Spanish-language film directed by Costa Rican filmmaker Hilda Hidalgo, based on the novella of the same name by Gabriel GarcÃa Márquez. The film is set in the 18th century Cartagena, Colombia, and follows the story of a young girl named Sierva MarÃa (Eliza Triana), the daughter of a wealthy marquis, who is believed to be possessed by the devil.

The Inquisitor, Don Toribio (Andrés Gertrúdix), is a cruel and sadistic man who believes that Sierva MarÃa is a witch and is determined to see her burn at the stake.
As the story unfolds, Delaura and Sierva MarÃa's relationship grows stronger, and they become more and more determined to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. However, their love is put to the ultimate test when Sierva MarÃa is subjected to a brutal exorcism and Delaura is forced to choose between his love for her and his loyalty to the church.
